Why should I use Twitter?

Twitter is a social networking site that's pretty much the equivalent of a huge message board where you can pick and choose whose messages you want to read, or "follow." Why should you use it? It's an awesome way to connect to a lot of information without much effort at all. You can follow your friends and find out what they are doing on a day to day basis, and you can also follow people and companies you don't personally know but produce information that you enjoy.

If you do choose to use twitter make sure to start small, a lot of marketing people use Twitter to broadcast a lot of junkie stuff. If someone is following you don't feel obligated to follow them back! Only follow people who have information that you want. Period.
