So now that you know electrolytes are what plants crave, we need to answer the question: are they any good for humans? An electrolyte contains ions that behave as an electrically conductive. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? Basically electrolytes help you body work. The main benefits are healthy heart rhythm, better muscle contraction, and improve brain function. All these great benefits, does not mean you need to stop reading this and go find as much electrolytes as you can.

You should only really be worried about electrolytes if you are dehydrated or working out for more than 1 hour.

  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon table salt
  • 3-4 tablespoons sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon light salt (salt substitute)
  • ½ package of kool-aid sugar free (for flavor)
