Both refers to how the food is grown and processed

What is Organic?

• Uses manure and compost to fertilize the soil for plant growth.
• Turns to insects and birds, mating disruption, or traps to get rid of pests
• Rotates crops, hand weeds, or mulches.
• Feeds their animals organic feed and allow them to roam.

What is Conventional?

• Uses chemical fertilizers for  plant growth,
• Uses pesticides to get rid of pests,
• Uses chemical herbicides to manage weeds,
• Gives animals antibiotics, growth hormones, and medications
